Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
In speaking with a member of our church this morning who is, along with her family, dealing with her father’s transition into eternal life. The conversation included the importance of “…think on these things…” (Philippians 4:8). These things, like faith, which will no longer be an issue. No more trials to walk through by faith. No more temptations to deal with and overcome by faith. Stepping across the threshold to heaven will instantly bring joy that was, heretofore, gained only by faith. The peace that pervaded the heart, mind, and spirit in this life, and brought only by faith, will be instantaneously realized in its fullness. The obscure “glass” that he looked through here will no longer be opaque. He will see clearly all the things he wondered about here. Most of all, he will know God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit even as he is known.
