From Pastor’s Desk:
1 Chronicles 28:20 David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
That we, God’s people today, are the temple of God is established in 1 Corinthians (3:16) and in 2 Corinthians (6:19). We all, at times, feel disappointed, weak, dismayed, and discouraged. There is strengthening in today’s verse that lets us know He will finish what He started. Romans 4:21 says “…what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” The same writer, Paul, declares in Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ…”
We are to just do the work to which He has called us without fear and intimidation! Psalm 37 gives pretty good insight as to how to do that.
