From Pastor’s Desk:
Acts 18:9-10 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”
A man can say of a good wife, “As long as you stand with me, I can go through anything.” How much more awesome to know, especially in times of difficulty, that our Heavenly Father is standing alongside via the Holy Spirit and will never leave us, protecting, blessing, smiling upon us, being gracious to us, showing us His favor, and giving us His peace (See Numbers 6:24-26). And like He said to Elijah, “Don’t worry, I’ve got a whole lot of people left in the land that have not bowed their knee to false gods” (See1 Kings 19:18, Paraphrase mine).
When you feel all alone, know that God has “…many people in this city” that you more than likely don’t know about. But they, in a time different from yours, a place apart from you, to someone you have not met yet, nor may ever meet, are witnessing about God’s wonderful plan of salvation, introducing others to Jesus Christ.
So, “…Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent…”
