A Wake-up Call

From Pastor’s Desk:

James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Many Christians boast of their faith yet it is evident that they have not done anything with it for a long time. Consequently, according to James, they are in the process of dying, if not already dead. Furthermore, it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). That is referring to faith that is alive and well in the life of the believer who professes it. Faith that is active on a daily, even moment by moment basis. Faith that is ready instantaneously to pray for someone or a situation because theirs is a thriving, energetic faith. Those are the ones upon whom God places burdens of intercession. They have stood the test and faithfully placed their faith in God’s faithfulness.

Is your faith working today? If it is not, James 2:17 should serve as a wake-up call!
