From Pastor’s Desk:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Been praying a long, long time for something or someone? Be sure that God has not forgotten you. Remember your prayer when you first began praying? That prayer has not been forgotten, rather, it is eternally in the mind and heart of God. Just because it seems He has not answered, doesn’t mean He hasn’t. He may be doing things “behind the scenes” that you can’t see. You may be enclosed within the parameters of the situation and you can’t see beyond those parameters. God probably does not want you to see or He would show you. You would not understand the way He’s moving everything and everyone around: It’s that far beyond your comprehension.
One thing for certain is that God is going to do everything “Godly” possible to effect a positive situation. That means He is going to leave no rock in place, no direction not examined, no avenue not trodden, and no person untested.
All this because He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. It does require faith, however, in that it may take a while.
