Romans 14:17-19 …the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
Kind words, actions, reactions, thoughts, even our demeanor, is in play here. If any are not there will be no peace and no one will be edified. Righteousness, peace, and joy are brought about with the pursuing of the things that are of eternal value, and vitally essential to the kingdom of God. Also, Righteousness, peace, and joy are a result of being truly born into the kingdom of God.
