Mandate for the Kingdom

From Pastor’s Desk:

1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. NASB

***

How enriched the church would be if each person applied this verse to everyday life. The manifold grace of God includes all that God is and everything He does. If each served the other mercy would run rampant, compassion would be of the highest degree, and love would be a natural way to treat your brother or sister. All the spiritual blessings we are promised would at the disposable of each other for each other. Hurts caused by misunderstanding would be unheard of because of mercy, compassion, love, and grace shown to each other by each other.

We receive special gifts for a reason: To serve one another! To edify, or build up, or structure the body of Christ. Today’s verse isn’t a suggestion. It is a mandate for the furtherance of the kingdom of God.
