The Other Side of Transition

From Pastor’s Desk:

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, – Philippians 3:20 NKJV

It is rather peculiar that Christians who are eagerly waiting for the Savior are homesick for a place they’ve never been. It causes a longing to leave this world to go and be with our Lord for eternity. End of life is not really an end of life for the one who eagerly waits, but rather just a transition from here to there. Should the Lord tarry, we will have to walk through that mysterious ‘tunnel’ of death, but, O, the indescribable bliss that awaits us on the other side!

Paul says in 2 Cor. 4:17-18, “…our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (NKJV)

The reality of pain, suffering, and grief experience here will subside the very second we step to the other side of the transition!Sunset over Mountain Range
